Title:

The Fois

or full title: The Fois: Revenge of Maw Maw Claudette

Logline:

A Cajun Maw Maw's ghost is out for revenge over a nasty gumbo in her prize-winning pot. When a washed-up pilot returns home to settle his grandfather's estate, he awakens the vengeful ghost of his Cajun maw maw — and a supernatural outbreak known only as The Fois.

SYNOPSIS

When washed-up pilot Beaux Boudreaux returns to the small bayou town of Cypress Cove to settle his late grandfather's estate, he inherits the family camp — and something far darker. After a disastrous gumbo is cooked in his grandmother's prized pot, the vengeful spirit of Maw Maw Claudette is awakened, unleashing a supernatural outbreak the locals call "the fois." As a mysterious green fog spreads across the bayou and the body count rises, Beaux teams up with a hometown love interest, a swamp witch, an eccentric private investigator, and a secretive government paranormal unit to uncover a decades-old family secret. To break the curse and save Cypress Cove, Beaux must do the one thing no Boudreaux has done in a generation: cook the perfect gumbo. Filmed entirely in South Louisiana, The Fois: Revenge of Maw Maw Claudette is a horror-comedy steeped in Cajun folklore, food, and family — where the scares are real, the humor is dry, and you can't run from the runs.
